Carlyn Lloyd, flute
Carlyn Lloyd has been heard in performances on radio station WNIB with Karl Haas and on station WFMT as part of their Dame Myra Hess and Live From Studio One Series. Ms. Lloyd has served on the faculty of the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, and the Hinsdale Center for the Arts. She has written many arrangements of popular and classical music for Arianna as well as her woodwind quintet, Quintuplex, and has also written and performed several arrangements for solo flute and concert band. Ms. Lloyd's articles are published in "Flute Talk" magazine, a subsidiary of the Instrumentalist. Carlyn Lloyd is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the National Flute Association, and is listed in the International Who's Who in Music, the Who's Who in American Music, the Who's Who in Entertainment, and is an honored member of America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals.
Laura Fako Utley, Harp
A musician of many talents, Ms. Fako Utley graduated from the Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University with her music performance degree in flute. She began her study of the harp in 1977 while attending the summer music program at Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, Michigan where her pare nts were on the faculty. She has won numerous awards in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio in competitions for the Society of American Musicians and the Flute Talk Magazine sponsored by the Instrumentalist. Ms. Fako Utley studied harp with Mary Jo Green of the Chicago Symphony. Ms. Fako Utley maintains a harp and flute teaching studio in the western suburbs of Chicago, and enjoys performing with orchestras such as the Lake Forest Symphony and the Elmhurst Symphony, as well as with many chamber groups and as soloist.
Sara Vettraino, violin
Ms. Vettraino received her Bachelor of Music Degree from Michigan State University. After graduation she worked as a Music Therapist in psychaitry and then in special education with young children. She continues to teach music to preschoolers and maintains an active private teaching studio. She is a very busy free-lance musician in the Chicago area and performs with several symphonies. In addition to the violin, Ms. Vettriano enjoys singing and playing the guitar and piano. She lives in Wheaton, Illinois with her husband Michael and children, Nicole and David.
Beth Hall Zaluba, bass
Ms. Hall Zaluba obtained her degrees from Chicago Musical College and the College of Education at Roosevelt University. Her teachers include Nathan Kahn, (Tulsa Philharmonic), Tino Calvetti, (Lyric Opera of Chicago), Stephen Lester, (Chicago Symphony), and Peter Zaluba, (Lyric Opera of Chicago). She has toured Taiwan and Japan as a member of the Classical Symphony Orchestra of Chicago, and performs regularly with other Chicago area orchestras including the Illinois Chamber Symphony and the Rockford Symphony where she is assistant principal bass. A versitale performer she is also featured with The Moonlight Jazz Orchestra, The Steve Grobl Orchestra, and Jazzmyn.
